Crossings is a NFC, New Faith Community that is mission focused. The vision is to be a missional minded group of people seeking the best life possible here and now so that the promise of Heaven (the eternal presence of God) is realized.
Currently we have a cafe' set up for people to gather around a table and build relationships. Coffee is always fresh and hot. Saturday mornings there is an all you can eat Community breakfast that all the donations are given right back into the community. Wednesday evenings a 6pm we gather for a meal and a time of conversation around real life issues and challenges applying biblical truth to them.
Sadly, all across this Country people are not taking care if their spiritual being, which is creating an identity crisis. This identity crisis and greed are the root issues currently breaking down the fabric of society and moral code. Unclear identity and greed has people focused on self rather than what you were created for, that being LOVE. Our purpose is to care for each other. "I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another." John 13:34 Money or possessions hold no value when it comes to people's lives. Can you imagine a world that you are not alone or isolated, but rather loved and cared for?
I believe God is making things new, " I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:19 Or in this case South Dayton and the surrounding region.
